I agree to a point - you either know how to deal with walkers or you don’t. If you can deal with loads, one or two shouldn’t pose you any problems. What I will say though is that there is a grey area; scope needs to be allowed for surprise walker attacks, extreme situations etc.
Can’t disagree that the writing is inconsistent though, and it’s a shame. The gang wandering through the post-apocalyptic landscape, foraging, eluding and killing when necessary - that’s the show.
